Subject: WinVN won't post articles
When I attempt to post an article using WinVN, it fails every time and pops up an error
window containing "480 Authentication Required for Command". Is this caused by an
invalid entry in my WinVN.ini file? I have double checked the addresses for the gateway
etc. and they are all correct. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I get the same kind of problem, i did the following
ppp /d script /c 3 /i 4 /s 19200
then my pc get 'connected' to the remote host
winpkt 0x60
win
(run the ) tcpman
set the IP address
rerun the tcpman
then i get the same message: Unable to load TCP.

I did

: in your system.ini file. These are all necessary to run Trumpet with WFWG.
how to load dis_pkt.dos in my system.ini file ?
Does this kind of problem only appear in the WFWG3.11
and not in the Windows3.1 ?
Another question: how to use internal slip in the tcpman ?
Do we need another programs ?
thanks,

If you are using Windows on an IBM PC, _DICS_ can be used to download
news items, then _Newswin_ can be used to read them off-line. Both of
these can be obtained from ftp.demon.co.uk /pub/ibmpc/winsock along with
the necessary winsock files.
